I found BLACK 100% Fiberglass thick insulation that has fabric on one side for stability and adhesion.  I couldn't have found a better insulation anywhere.

So I have had it die cut to fit your hood and my kit includes 3M spray adhesive, a scraper to remove old insulation and (get this) latex gloves to protect your hands from annoying glass splinters.
