Every car has an identity or "serial number" with 17 characters

It is located on the driver door jamb and the dash just behind the windshield (you'll see it better from outside)

It's called the VIN number and every digit means something

There is also a Vehicle Identification Plate mounted on the engine compartment firewall - driver's side

This plate will give you your paint codes, interior codes, engine and transmission codes as well as the VIN number

Now you can identify your paint code, interior color and where it was assembled

It's your pedigree
